Holiday Advent Calendar meme

lunadelcorvoI tend to be awful at the "must post something every day for x days' thing, but I'm all a-squee for the holidays, so I'll give it a shot. This post is the rules (which I will more or less follow, but I won't repost them each time). Next post will be the first day's post. Cheers and feel free to join in or ignore as you choose! (Hey, folks, it's this or my continuing outrage over the debacle that is the American political system...trust me, this is better and saner for you and for me!)
Holiday Advert Calendar Rules:
1. Every day make a post starting December 1st that has something to do with Yule/Christmas. It can be a picture, scans, articles, a video, a song anything. But it has to be Holiday related.
2. Bulk of meme must be behind the cut (lj-cut).
3. You must try NOT to post the same thing any time through out the 25 days. If you must repeat you MUST have something of different content in the same post. (e.g. songs must be different songs, etc.)
4. Post MUST also include the things in the list for each day. (e.g. you can ad a song to a post, but it must also include the listed item du jour.)
5. Write a little something or a lot about what you are posting in each post. Why it's special to you?, Why it's funny? There are no rules when it comes to the text.
Advent Calendar Post List:
Dec.1st Your entry MUST include a recipe. It can be your favorite recipe, new favorite or something you want to try.
Dec.2nd Post something random that's Holiday related.
Dec.3rd Your entry must include a list of your favorite Holiday Movies. You can choose to post pictures, video clip of the movies. (Or just a list - why hog your f-list?)
Dec.4th Your entry MUST include a recipe. It can be your favorite recipe, new favorite or something you want to try.
Dec.5th Tell us your favorite Holiday craft and show us how to do it.
Dec.6th Give us a recipe of your favorite cup of something festive. It can be cocoa, coffe or your favorite cocktail. As long as it's festive.
Dec.7th Tell us and show us a favorite homemade gift you've gotten or given.
Dec.8th Tell us your most treasured holiday traditions.
Dec.9th Share the most treasured gift you can remember.
Dec.10th Post your holiday wish list (or meme if you've done one). This is a great time to check your friends lists, and if you see something you can swing, do it! Even if it arrives late, that's just makes the holiday fun last longer.
Dec.11th Do a Holiday/Christmas Meme besides this one.
Dec.12th Show us a picture of your favorite decorations or a picture of your decorated house.
Dec.13th Post a picture or description of a wreath hanging in your home. (If you made it, make a how-to and post it.)
Dec.14th Share your favorite quote, story or poem of the Holidays.
Dec.15th Post a favorite festive picture of you or your family.
Dec.16th Post a quote from a favorite holiday book.
Dec.17th Post a story of a kind thing a stranger has done for you this year.
Dec.18th Your post must have a picture or description of your Christmas tree and a close up of your favorite ornament.
Dec.19th Tell us your favorite Holiday memory. It can be a childhood memory or a new memory, so as long it's a Christmas Memory.
Dec.20th Hanukkah starts at sundown and ends December 28th. Do you celebrate it? If not, out of respect wish your friends who do celebrate it on LJ Happy Hanukkah.
Dec.21st Today is Yule/Winter Solstice. Do you celebrate it? If not, out of respect wish your friends who do celebrate it on LJ a wonderful Yule/Winter Solstice. Include in your post a picture of a fire, log or candle burning at the exact moment of the Winter Solstice, post it.
Dec.22nd Post a picture or describe your favorite card you've gotten this year.
Dec.23rd Your post must have a list of five holiday songs you love. It's your choice whether to include downloads of the songs. Entry must also include a picture of you wearing something festive. :::Er, sorry, not. I don't post photos of me.:::
Dec.24th Your post MUST include these things:
Dec.25th Make this post really special. Go out of your way to make the post like nothing you have ever posted before.

- A letter to Santa from you of your wishes or thoughts.
- - List your family and what you love most about them.
- Take a picture of yourself with something Christmasy. (doesn't have to be your face, you can show a picture of your hands holding something that's Christmasy.)
Dec.25th Make this post really special. Go out of your way to make the post like nothing you have ever posted before.
- You must make a Holiday banner for your journal!
- Write a message to your LJ friends and wish them a happy Christmas or holidays.
- Add some Holiday Music to your post for all your friends to hear with www.playlist.com. It's easy and free. :::I absolutely will not do this. I HATE it when webpages shove music at me, expecially since I'm usually listening to something already, and the cacophony makes my ears bleed:::

I got this meme my friend saffronwritings e-mailed to me. So I have no clue who originally did this.
But yeah I am making some edits as well. So not going to take a picture of myself wearing something festive maybe I'll just take picture of the item but not me.
