Very straightforward post regarding the significance of the O’Conner retiement. Couldn’t have said any of it better myself. Read it HERE And thanks to [livejournal.com profile] crumblingwalls for posting this.

Now I’m gonna go look for jobs in Canada....

Hi raven_m00n,
I love your background. Is it from a William Morris design? I came across your journal when I did a search for Roycrofters and just wanted to say hello. ===Geoff

THanks! Yes, it is from a William Morris design, but I can't for the life of me recall where I found it... I think it was an Arts & Crafts decor or textile website, but I'm not certain. Anyway, thanks for the compliment!

I have had folks find me by any number of things, but I think you're the first to do so via any of my Arts & Crafts related stuff. Neat!

I see you are new to LJ. welcome! I hope you enjoy it here - I know it has been a whole new world for me, (And I'm not ecaxtly the shy, non-social type in real life either!) I hope I see more of you about. Feel free to add me if you like...

Thanks for the welcome. I'm suprised to see a fellow traveler in the Arts & Crafts style on here myself. I'm mainly a fan of the movemment's furniture, mainly Gustav Stickley's Craftsman Mission stuff. I'm in the process of building several reproductions and I'll post photos of the finished work on my journal but it's been slow going lately. ==Geoff

• Laughing is easier than pulling your hair out, and doesn't have the unfortunate side effect of making you look like a plague victim.
• Even the biggest tasks can be defeated if taken a bit at a time.
• I can write a paper the night before it's due, but the results are not all they could be.
• Be thorough, but focused.
• Trust yourself.
• Honesty, always.
