There *were* pagan elements to Hitler's ideology, and certainly he himself was fascinated with anything esoteric or occult. However, his version of that pagan/occult was based more in 18th & 19th century romanticism and Teutonism than on anything real or historical. In any case, my beef with it in this case is the narrator's just tossing it out as a throw-away without offering any context or explanation whatsoever.
